DLC Quest has finally made its way to PC (and Mac)! And it brought a friend with it: Lair of the Evildoer (PC only)! Two games hitting PC on the same day, one even launching on Mac, what could be better?
How about launching exclusively as part of the Indie Royale St. Patrick’s Day bundle! Go grab yours now!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ottawa, Canada – March 15, 2012 – Going Loud Studios is proud to announce that “DLC Quest”, winner of Official Xbox Magazine’s Xbox Indie Game of the Year 2011, is now available on Windows and Mac. In a rare double-whammy, Going Loud Studios is also proud to announce that “Lair of the Evildoer” is also now available on Windows. Both titles are launching exclusively as part of the Indie Royale St. Patrick’s Day bundle.
DLC Quest:
What happens when DLC practices go too far? An indie developer makes a game that mocks the industry and its foibles, that’s what! Defeat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl! But first you’ll need to find coins to buy DLC to enable animation, sound and even pausing. Thankfully this is just satire and all the DLC is purchased with in-game coins. But consider it a cautionary tale for the future…

Lair of the Evildoer:
The evil Dr. Odious has you trapped high in his lair. He’s also not very fond of you. Make your escape by battling through hundreds of monsters, collecting over 25 weapons and leveling up as you go. Procedurally generated levels will keep you on your toes in this action RPG shooter!

“The irony of making a game that mocks downloadable content and releasing it in downloadable form is not lost on me,” says Ben Kane, the lone developer of Going Loud Studios. “I’ve also secretly always wanted to use the phrase ‘double-whammy’ in a press release. And now I’ve done that. Twice.”
